Limpopo is upgrading Polokwane International Airport, enabling it
to handle the biggest, fully laden aircraft and to develop into
a major cargo hub serving sub-Saharan markets and Europe. In addition,
Limpopo is planning to develop an Industrial Development Zone (IDZ)
around the airport, creating opportunities for exporters who add
value to the province's raw materials. |

Limpopo
Crafters set for world markets
17 Limpopo Crafters, most of them women from the poorest areas
had a lifetime opportunity to exhibit their products to world
markets at the South African Handmade Collection exhibition
held alongside the Decorex at Gallagher Estate from the 6-10
August 2009.
Participation in
the South African Handmade Collection exhibition is part of
Trade and Investment Limpopo, an agency of the provincial
government whose task is to promote products from the province
to the international markets.

Partnership
agreement between Limpopo and the Netherlands bear fruit
The partnership agreement signed between Trade and Investment
Limpopo (TIL) and the Southern Africa Netherlands Council
(SANEC) on 9 April 2009 in Polokwane continues to bear fruit
as more and more Limpopo businesses receive support –
the latest beneficiaries are a group of emerging avocado farmers,
Nkomamonta Group, from Mopani district.
